Blithewold Manor

Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum in Bristol, Rhode Island

This chaise in the master bedroom was the first Blithewold piece Penn & Fletcher created the embroidery for.

The new back for the chaise, along with the original, which was used to create the pattern for the new embroidery.

Penn & Fletcher’s embroidery was created using vintage machines identical to those that did the original work.

Our skilled artisans also used techniques and threads authentic to the period of the original embroidery. Here are the valences in progress.
